Kitchen & Bathroom Remodel in Brimfield
This Brimfield remodeling project updated two of the home’s most-used rooms with new layouts, custom cabinetry, durable surfaces, and coordinated finishes. Urban Custom Kitchens & Design completed the demolition and renovation of both the kitchen and bathroom, managing the cabinetry, plumbing changes, tile work, lighting, fixtures, and final installation.
In the kitchen, stained maple cabinets bring warmth and natural character to the room. Cambria Brittanicca Gold countertops introduce soft movement across the perimeter and large peninsula, while the light tile backsplash keeps the workspace bright. Updated lighting and stainless steel appliances complete a kitchen designed for everyday cooking, storage, and gathering.
The bathroom received a more substantial layout change. Plumbing was moved to support the new floor plan, followed by new flooring, a custom tile shower, updated fixtures, a new vanity, and a custom glass shower enclosure. The finished room makes better use of the available space while giving the shower, tub, and vanity their own defined areas.

A Warm, Custom Kitchen With More Useful Storage
The kitchen is built around maple cabinetry with a stained finish that highlights the wood grain throughout the room. Cabinetry extends to the ceiling in several areas, adding storage while giving the room a finished, built-in appearance. Crown molding, paneled ends, and coordinated hardware carry the same level of finish across the perimeter and peninsula.
A panel-ready dishwasher blends into the lower cabinetry beside the sink, helping the main cabinet run feel continuous. Tall cabinetry surrounding the refrigerator also makes the appliance feel integrated into the room rather than placed between separate cabinet sections. Cambria Brittanicca Gold countertops provide a light work surface with warm veining that complements the maple cabinets. The material continues across the large peninsula, creating room for food preparation, serving, and seating. Its eased, shaped edge adds another custom element without competing with the movement in the surface.
The tile backsplash uses a light, handmade-style subway tile with visible variation along the edges and grout lines. It brightens the walls between the upper and lower cabinets and provides a neutral background for the cabinetry, countertops, and appliances.
Updated recessed lighting, decorative ceiling fixtures, and pendant lights improve visibility throughout the room. The glass pendants above the peninsula also cast patterned light across the ceiling, adding visual interest to the finished space.
A New Bathroom Layout Built Around the Custom Shower
The bathroom renovation began with demolition and changes to the existing plumbing so the room could be rebuilt around a new layout. The revised plan creates clearer separation between the vanity, soaking tub, toilet, and shower.
The custom shower uses large-format marble-look tile across the walls and exterior half wall, paired with smaller hexagonal floor tile inside the shower. A built-in bench adds a practical feature while continuing the same tile finish through the enclosure.
A frameless custom glass door and glass panels keep the shower open to the rest of the room. Brass-toned hinges and hardware coordinate with the faucets, cabinet pulls, mirror frame, and vanity lighting.
The new vanity provides a broad countertop, inset sink, and a combination of drawers and cabinet storage. Painted cabinetry gives the bathroom a lighter look than the kitchen while maintaining the same custom, furniture-style construction. The Cambria surface and raised backsplash create a clean transition between the vanity and the wall. New flooring runs throughout the bathroom, tying the shower, tub surround, and vanity area together. Updated lighting above the mirror and overhead improves visibility while keeping the finishes consistent with the other fixtures in the room.
